When I stepped on the mat more than 17 years ago, it was a time in my life of personal growth. It was the immense healing power and finding inner peace that kept me coming back and ultimately guided me to become a teacher.
Yoga has given me many gifts, compassion, patience and much gratitude. My personal practice has given me strength, focus, clarity, and the ability to flow through all that life brings.
I completed my 200 hour certification in 2006 with Carolyn McManus of Serenity Yoga. In 2013 I completed an additional 300 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training with Clara Roberts-Oss, the founder of Lila School of Vinyasa. I teach in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast, and teach traditional Hatha and Vinyasa Flow style classes to students of all levels.
It is from a loving place and with an open heart that I passionately share what I have learned and continue to learn with my students. I approach my teaching as I do life with a positive, joyful, and outgoing attitude. I bring a very strong teaching ethic. My focus is on proper body alignment and a solid foundation for the postures, through clear and detailedinstruction.
My vision as a teacher is to provide a safe and nurturing space with a strong sense of community where students can let go, bring balance to body, mind and spirit and can experience the transformation that yoga brings to connect us to our true selves.
I have a heartfelt gratitude for my teachers and mentors Carolyn McManus of Serenity Yoga (San Francisco), Arielle Thomas-Newman of Yoga by the Sea (Playa del Carmen, Mexico), Clara Roberts-Oss (Vancouver). I will forever be an avid student and grateful teacher.
